Johanson Boatworks is a full service yacht yard offering repairs, storage, new construction, and complete restorations. We also specialize in installing new teak decks, J-Boat repair, and engine installations & rebuilds. We are a Beta Marine Engine Dealer.  With over 30 years experience in multiple facets of boat repair and construction, our highly trained crew provides fine workmanship with competitive pricing. We are committed to the goal of providing quality work and attentive maintenance to every yacht placed in our care.  Johanson Boatworks also offers a variety of fine vessels for bareboat charter which we store and maintain. The fleet is based in Rockland Harbor, at the heart of Midcoast Maine's spectacular cruising ground Penobscot Bay.

Since Peter Johanson established the company in 1977, Johanson Boatworks has been involved in many custom construction projects as well as all aspects of yacht repair and maintenance. At our service facility we store and tend to our bareboat charter fleet as well as other numerous private yachts. In addition, we generally have one on-going construction project in one of our work bays.  From haul out in the fall to re-launch in the spring, we meticulously care for each vessel as if it were our own.
