Announcing the Morris Farm's April Vacation Camp | Arts & Culture
The Morris Farm Trust in Wiscasset will hold one week of day camp during the April vacation week, April 16th - 20th. April Vacation Campers will celebrate spring on the Farm with Educator and Farm-to-School Coordinator Abby Plummer, aka “Farm Abby,” and Morris Farm 4-H Club Cloverbuds Leader Kim Andersson. Days are broken up into farm chores like collecting eggs and feeding baby animals, Earth Art projects like making dream catchers with materials found in nature, baking and making yummy nutritious snacks, seed starting in the greenhouse, preparing the school garden for planting and hiking in the Morris Farm's pastures and woodland trails. Kids will discover the Morris Farm yurt, "Fortland" and all the surprises of spring in the forest and fields during this special environmental and agricultural education themed day camp. Morris Farm April Vacation Camp is open to children in grades K-8 but don't delay! We are only able to accept 16 campers. Vacation Camp is $38 per day from 9am – 3pm. Sign up for all 5 days to get a $10 discount for the week. Sibling discounts are $2 per day or an additional $10 off of full week registration. Aftercare and early-bird care are available for an additional $5 per hour from 7am – 9am and 3pm – 5pm. April Vacation Campers need to bring lunch and a water bottle each day plus mud boots if they have them (we have some to borrow). Registration forms are available at Wiscasset Primary and Middle Schools or online at http://www.morrisfarm.org/.
