All State Music Festival | Arts & Culture

The University of Maine campus is alive with the sound of music.  The 59th annual All State Music

Festival kicked off Thursday with the arrival of the 450 best high school musicians from across

the state.   These students auditioned last fall in what is a very competitive process. Sponsored by Maine Music

Educators  Association,  All State is the biggest music festival of the year.  Comprised of three performing groups,

chorus,  orchestra and band, the students arrived on campus for three days of rehearsals culminating in three

separate concerts on Saturday afternoon at the Collins Center for the Arts on the Orono campus.  

Chorus will perform first at 2:00 pm,  orchestra at 3:00 pm and band at 5:00 pm.

Ticket prices are: $10 for one concert; $15 for two concerts and $20 for all three concerts.
