WHO – Cancer patients and others in local communities around Maine are looking forward to receiving bouquets of daffodils from friends, co-workers, or loved ones who are participating in the American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days campaign.

WHY – Daffodil purchases give hope to those who need it most—a therapeutic boost for body, mind, and soul. Dollars raised through Daffodil Days enable the Society to offer free programs and services that help people fight cancer with courage and optimism, while it provides day-to-day help, emotional support, and 24-hour information to help ease the cancer experience. Additionally, daffodil contributions provide the Society with much-needed dollars to fund groundbreaking cancer research, educate people about the importance of cancer prevention and early detection, and advocate for meaningful public health policies that benefit the community.

HOW – FedEx has supported the logistics behind this program for 15 years through working with community volunteers and the ACS to arrange and deliver millions of daffodils in support of the fight against cancer.
