Vox Nova Chamber Choir: "The Ecstasies Above"
Vox Nova Chamber Choir, a Midcoast-based ensemble dedicated to the creative exploration of contemporary vocal music, will present a concert of modern choral music on January 18th, 2014, at 7:30pm and on January 19th at 3:00pm in Studzinski Recital Hall at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine.

This exciting season ushers in the choir’s expansion to 38 voices and the addition of a string ensemble joining the Choir on two works. 

Tickets are $15 in advance at Now You're Cooking in Bath; Gulf of Maine Books in Brunswick, or Sherman's Books and Stationary in Freeport . Admission is $20 at the door. Bowdoin students receive free admission with student I.D.

It’s “Tool Time” for Brunswick seventh graders!

 BRUNSWICK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- It’s “Tool Time” in Brunswick and it’s about to get messy! Ninety students in the Seventh Grade class at Brunswick Junior High School will spend two days on December 17th and 18th working with Upright Frameworks to reduce the energy costs for a home owned by Independence Association, a local non-profit. Students will begin by learning how to use critical materials and tools of the trade, and will then head out “into the field” to help with the actual retrofit work.

Medical Students To Train at Mid Coast

Through a program created in 2009, as a joint venture between Maine Medical Center (MMC) and Tufts University School of Medicine (TUSM), Mid Coast Hospital has again been selected as a training site for two Tufts medical students that are interested in gaining hands-on clinical training in Maine.

Kevin Baier and Anne Hicks, students of the 2015 class, will learn their third year core competencies in a 9-month Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (LIC) under the supervision of Mid Coast Hospital providers. Their training began on June 10.
